The work presents the research view of mechanical factors on supporting tissue differentiation in a specific ossification conditions in the case of bone distraction. Among many theories of bone distraction genesis, the basic place takes the Pauwels theory of causal histogenesis. According to this theory —- and as the results of all the basic strains (pressure, tension, or shear) the cell itself may only be deformed or the hydrostatic pressure in it may be heightened. The influence combination of different cell deformations stipulates for the supporting tissue differentiation as well. The second theory about the influence of mechanical factors upon chondrogenesis, as the osteogenesis basis, is given by Krompecher. According to this theory the bone is produced because of pressure and hypoxis in granulous tissue, and under the influence of the substance change disturbance the cartilage is formed. The authors have tried to apply these two basic theories about causal histogenesis and ossification, and to explain the mechanical causes of bone-tissue performing in distraction of bone elongation. The authors conclude that Pauwels theory, although not yet completely explained, corresponds more to the ossification possibility of a defect proceeded by bone distraction. In the work the importance of mutual biomechanical and clinical research is stressed in solving the common problems of microstructure supporting tissue differentiation.
