The System of Biomedical Scientific Information in Yugoslavia

Abstract

The development of the system of scientific information in the field of biomedicine in Yugoslavia should follow the development of this branch in the world because of demands entailed by the peculiarity of our country. Biomedical libraries and information centres in the country should be united into a decentralized and cooperative scientific information system, based on modern technology for data and information Processing. This system should insure a rational inflow and usage of scientific references and information from abroad, as well as an up-to-date informing of domestic and foreign users about the achievements of our medical Science and practice by creating relevant computer information bases.
