COVER PHOTO PICTURE: Milivoje Kostić (Sarajevo, BA 24 August 1883 – Belgrade,  RS, 21 February 1974) com- pleted his primary and secondary education in Sarajevo and graduated from the Fac- ulty of Medicine in Vienna in 1906. Immediately after completing his studies, he was employed at the National Hospital in Sarajevo, where he worked for two years. He then pursued specializations at renowned surgical clinics in Hamburg, Berlin, and Paris. After World War I (1918), he became head of the Surgical Department and the direc- tor of the Hospital in Sarajevo. In 1923, he moved to Belgrade, where he was elected professor at the Faculty of Medicine. He was a corresponding member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU) in the Department of Medical Sciences from 10 June 1955 and a full member from 30 January 1958. He served as a member of the Presidency of SANU from 15 April 1959 to 15 April 1960. In 1955, he was elected a full member of the Scientific Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Department of Medical Sciences, and in 1966, he became a full member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina upon its establishment. At the session of the Fac- ulty of Medicine in Belgrade in 1945, he advocated for the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo rather than in Kragujevac or Niš. He was awarded the Order of Labor, First Class (1956), the Order of Merit for the People with the Gold Star (1972), and numerous charters and plaques.
