Alprenolole is subject to a fast-metabolic transformation like other beta blocking agents. Until now 4-hidroxy alprenolol and N-dcsizopropyl alprenolol are identified as products of such metabolic transformations.
In the paper Identification of methoxy-hydroxy alprenolol, a new metabolite of alprenolol, performed by selective derivatization and GC-MS structure examination. is described.
