The Prognostic Values of the DNCB-Test in the Larynx

The intention of this study is to try to answer the question of whether there is a possibility of correlation between the prognosis and the immunocompetence of patients with a cancer of laryngo-pharynx, expressed in the values of objective indicators.
Weakened immunity has been proved by the DNCB-test of belated hypersensitivity in 116 patents with a cancer of laryngo-pharynx. Analysis of the results of survival places patients in two groups: DNCB-positive — reactors, and DNCB-negative — non-reactors: also, in subgroups of the clinical stadia according to the classification UICC.
The results of the statistical elaboration permit us to conclude that the expansion of the process is essential for the prognosis. Employing the other objective measures in analysing cellular immunity would give, undoubtably, more complete results.
