COVER PHOTO PICTURE: Vaso Butozan (Starčevo, RS, 5 December 1902 – Zagreb, HR, 14 May 1974) graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb, in 1930. Immediately after graduation, he was appointed assistant at the Department of Histology and Embryology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagreb. He received his doctorate from the same faculty on 30 June 1931. He participated in the National Liberation War from 1941. From 1949 to 1950, he served as the first rector of the University of Sarajevo.  He was elected a full member of the Scientific Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Department of Medical Sciences in 1952. He was president of the Scientific Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina (1959–1966) and the first president of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina (1966–1968).
