Numeric Method Evalution in Estimation of Presence and Degree of Dysplastic Changes in the Stomach

In the world literature, number of studies about the importance of epithelial dysplasia of gastric mucosa, which is considered to be a premalignant change increase.
Although the.se changes present a well identified group of morphological entities, there is a significant difference in observations of various authors concerning classification of certain types. as well as in interpreting their clinical significance.
For the reason of more precise evaluation, we have objectified this method numerically. on the basis of our observations, takin into consideration the morphological criteria of Oehlert, Grundmann, Morson and Farini. and checked it on a series of 300 examinees.
Our method provides an objective Information about the epithelial dysphasia, which facilitates the Identification of dysplastic changes. It is our opinion that eventual introduction of Computer Processing would be of great help in analyses of larger series.
