The Elaboration of the Morphological Criteria for Determination of the Dysplastic Changes in Mucous Membrane of the Colon

The epithelial dysplasia in mucous membrane of the colon is potentially precancerous change whose presence increases the risk for the inception of carcinoma. Since no exact criteria for diagnosing and staging of the dysplasia of the colon epithelium membrane were set so far, the investigators always emphasized the subjectivness in the evaluation of dysplastic presence and intensity. Through introduction of the method of numerically objectivized criteria we have considerably facilitated the determination of the epithelial dysplasia, and its diagnostical differentiation between inflammatory-regenerative changes as well as the estimation of the intensity of the dysplastic process.
