Abstract

Two types of antihistamine burimamide as H2-receptor inhibitor and dimetindene as Hi-receptor inhibitor were compared in order to record modulation of evoked contraction induced by nerve stimulation or acetylcholine or histamine infusion. Burimamide increased induced contractions of isolated stomach. Increased motility is greater if it was provoked by electrical stimulation, then induced by acetylcholine. Dimetindene inhibited induced contraction. Inhibition is greater of the contractions induced by acetylcholine then by electrical stimulation. It is supposed that H2-reccptor inhibitors increased contractions by the mode of action that is “unmask” of facilitation of principal transmitter action.
